We had a shy new student try to join EHS today!  She greeted the teachers by the parking lot early this morning!  Mrs. Zwack and Mrs. Derksen were pretty excited but Mrs. Kinsman said she should probably do her learning in the Coulee instead!

Celebrations

Our Upstander Hall of Fame posters are looking amazing!  Students have been carefully planning their Infographics and are almost ready to share their posters with the school.

In math, we continue to work on multiplication and division.  The grade 4's played a math game and then talked about division strategies.  The grade 3's also played a fact game and completed our Freyer Model for multiplication.  We can now show any fact in 4 different ways:  number line, repeated addition, arrays, and equal groups!

We watched the last bit of Wonder today and continued our sketch noting.  We were doing this throughout the movie and making connections to our Friendology lessons.

Something to talk about:  What do you think the main lesson was in the story Wonder?  Which part of the move "transformed" your thinking in some way?  How might you use this lesson or change in thinking moving forward?

Reminders

1.  Coulee School all week next week.  An email is coming this evening with more information.

2.  Keep practicing basic multiplication and division facts at home!

3.  New Words Their Way will come home tomorrow for Mrs. Zwack's class and Wednesday for Mr. Kelly's Class
