Highlights

Today Miss Gooch taught us about the importance of Remembrance Day in preparation for our assembly on Tuesday and the actual Day of Remembrance on Wednesday November 11th.  She read us the book A Poppy is to Remember and showed us a music video of A Pittance of Time.  We connected to the idea of "sacrifice" by those who fought in or lived through times of war and how we also have sacrificed during this time of Covid.

We were very, very excited to do a special "poppy art" project with Mr. Kelly today.  We used oil pastels and learned how to create light, medium and dark values to add "pop" to our projects.  It was challenging to create the realistic effect!

An email has been sent to all parents regarding a "homework" assignment for this weekend.  All students will need to take a few minutes to check their gmail accounts and to accept the invitation to Epic Books.  Detailed instructions are in the parent email sent home to Zwack parents yesterday and Kelly parents today.
