What a busy day we had!

Highlights

Miss Gooch and Mrs. Derksen led us in a lesson this morning focusing on comparing Fiction and Non-Fiction books.  We learned about the characteristics of each and that some characteristics overlap!  We used a Venn diagram to show the relationship.

In math today we had a chance to show what we know about PATTERNS.  We have been working on patterns in math for a while now and the "check up" today was to see what we could do independently.

Something to Talk About:

We started working on the habitat for our made up creature in science.  Describe your animal to your parents and the habitat you have created for it!

Reminders:

Jacket Racket continues until this Thursday.  Our donations are growing and we appreciate all of your support.

Please sign up for your parent-student-teacher interview.  Students are busily uploading some artifacts to share with you on Iris and then you will have a 15 minute meet with your teacher. We will need to stick closely to our schedule to be able to see everyone!  If we need more time, another meeting can be set up for a later date.  Thank you in advance to everyone for respecting the 15 minute limit.

Tomorrow we will be sending home SLA results with all of our grade 3 students!  We will be able to discuss them at interviews!
