We continue to adjust to our new world setting in our classroom. We used our hula hoops to help us remember to social distance when working in the school.  Mr. Kelly and Mrs. Zwack are working on our exit procedure. We dismiss the students in groups:

3:00 A-G

3:05 H-N

3:10 O-Z

Our group exits the school from the 4W doors. We enter the school at different doors (Zwack 4W/Kelly 5W) and exit from the same door.

The teachers were on the look out for Masked Do Gooders. These are just some of the actions that were observed in the classroom.

Matthew C, Quinn, Lily H and Brody graciously gave up their seats at the table to allow other students to sit there. Well Done!

Highlights of the Day

1.  Our group started to work in our visual journals with an emphasis on organization and neatness.

2.  We learned how to pick a just right book:

Important Updates

Early dismissal tomorrow: 12:02 pm (staggered exit by last names)

Kindness 3/4 students will come in the same doors as they did today in the morning.  After school however, the will all exit from the 4W door.

Please do not send extra or personal school supplies - we do not have room for them.

We will send your child's school supplied masks home for washing and labeling on Thursday.

Something to Talk About

Discuss with your family the definition of PREDICTION

Explain your parents the I PICK steps and what book you chose.

What acts of kindness can you perform to help your classmates and teachers.

Our current practice when students are leaving the building for outside time or mask breaks is to use a Ziploc bag assigned to each child to store their masks.  We have noticed that some students are using fanny packs to carry their masks which seems to work really well to keep them with the child and avoid any additional handling.  We would welcome families that choose to, to send a fanny pack with their child for mask storage, however if you choose not to we will continue to offer the Ziploc bags for storage.
