WELCOME BACK!

It was so wonderful to see everyone today after a restful break.  We hope you all had a chance to get outside in the fresh air and to enjoy time together as a family.  Spring seems to be in full bloom!

We started our day with a reminder to everyone about being safe and following our Covid protocols at school.  With numbers rising in the city, we want to do our best to keep safe and healthy.

Celebrations

We had the great honour of having an online tour and presentation from the Canadian Human Rights Museum today.  During Covid, they offer these sessions for free to teachers and students.  Our program focused on Human Rights and how the museum shares the story of human rights in Canada and around the world.  Our amazing students made many connections to the work we have been doing in class!

Please see the link if you are interested in learning more about it!  https://humanrights.ca

In math today, we tried another challenging problem which required us to use our characteristics as good problem solvers as well as strategies we have tried out on past problems.  When students finished their work, we asked them to reflect on their attributes and strategies.  Please check Power School on Saturday for a Learning Intention Update based on our recent observations and assessment.

Something to talk about:

What stood out to you about the museum tour today?

What connections did you make?

What lesson can you take away as a Global Citizen?
