Well, it was quite a day today.  We want to begin by thanking our students and parents for their patience and flexibility as we figured things out.  

Each student was sent home with their green duo tang which contains some paper as well as a pencil from today.  Inside of the front cover of the duo tang there is your child's gmail address, password and their student ID Number.  

Tomorrow we will be asking you to join us in a whole team google meet at 9:00 am.  The code will be KindnessZK.  At this time we will have a class meeting and will go over a few things together.  You can expect your child to be online for about an hour and then we will break at 10:00 for a snack and movement break for 20 minutes.  We will meet again altogether at 10:20 until 11:30 and then they will be finished for the day.  

Digital Citizenship Reminders

1.  Please find a quiet spot for your online google meets and keep your mic on mute unless asked by the teacher to unmute.

2.  DO NOT type in the chat unless asked to do so by the teacher.  This is not the time to hold conversations with your friends.  We will block the chat if this expectation is not being followed.

3.  Please DO leave your camera on during lessons and discussions.

4.  Please do not eat during lessons as it is very distracting on the screen.  There will be a mid morning break for a snack time off screen. 

We will send an email this weekend, by noon on Sunday at the latest, outlining the plan for next week's online learning.   For the most part, we will be carrying on with what we have been working on in class.  It will be important to have your child attend online sessions and/or to complete assignments as we will pick back up when we return the following week.  If they cannot attend, please check Google Classroom daily for assignments.
