Highlights of the day:
1) We reviewed the steps we need to take when borrowing books from our library (see photo)
2) We learned how express fractions with numbers and pictures.
3) While the grade fours were in French today, the grade threes started to create an awesome, alliteration alphabet. Check out some of our work below.
4) We continued our research on the three types of rocks. We made jot notes just high school kids.
Something to talk about:
Tell your parents about the three different types of rock and any interesting facts you discovered.
Reminders:
Wednesday (Feb 10) is red and pink shirt day. Due to Covid restrictions, we ask that you do not sent cards or treats to school.
Monday (Feb 8) is Words Their Way Quiz Day. Students please prepared for the quiz and bring back your envelopes to school on Monday.
Keep practicing your basic facts (10 minutes).
Sense Poetry
Vancouver is...
Vancouver is a humungous city.
It tastes like salt water.
The city sounds like waves crashing.
It smells like algae.
It looks like paradise when the sun is reflecting off the water.
Vancouver feels like I do when I play hockey.
